At the start of 2020, I discovered a new passion: teaching!
What I love about teaching include being able to meet students from all over the world and learning about their passions, desires, motivations, and ideas. Every time I help them on their journey to achieving one of their personal or professional goals, I feel a sense of fulfilment that I can’t find in my everyday life. It doesn’t hurt that most of my students end up becoming my very close friends, of which I’ve been able to meet around the world, from New York to London.
Two years later in 2022, I decided to turn my passion into an avenue to make a bigger impact in the community. That’s why I created the Matthew Yong Foundation, a registered Canadian charity focused on improving access to education and supporting educational advancement.
